I found out about Love, Hallie by reading a quote inscripted on the inside of the new Kimya Dawson "Remember That I Love You" CD. Kimya wrote in her own handwriting, "If humans could have one super power, what would it be? I have finally decided that it would be the power to see things from another's perspective. You could be in a war and hear the enemy's mind praying to make it home safe. There wouldn't be as many wars. - Hallie Geier" That quote really touched me, as I'm sure its touched others throughout the world.

Thank You for all that you do. And especially for the inspiration that you give people; everyone can make a difference!

I am proud to say that I am in the process of joining Hal's Angels.

i heard about hallie in the news and on oprah. knowing that alyson palmer a member of my favorite band was involved with love hallie was totally amazing. hallie is a beautiful girl and every night since her death i have prayed a special prayer for her to help the children in africa as an angel of hope. she was so talented and so mature for her age. for it is the kindest of souls that make the difference in this world. hallie's soul went way above that. i wish i would have known her. if there is anything i can do to help the love hallie foundation along let me know. i just lost a child myself (unborn child miscarried) but as someone who lost a child in the womb the pain is indescribable it isn't like any other pain in the world. i give all my love to you and my best wishes.

Hello! I am a senior Communications major @ BSU and came back after class to watch Oprah and what I saw made me cry for the next half hour. I was touched by Hal's story..not only because we share the same name, but so much of her personality and love I saw in remembering myself at that age...I was a compassionate child, as well, and it makes me wonder what else she might have accomplished- BUT I know she has accomplished more by being the inspiration for such a wonderful foundation. I pray for your family, and especially, you, M.J., because I have an older sister that would do the same thing for me. God rest her sweet little soul. I know someday you all will fly around in heaven together. And remember, one meaning behind the name Hallie is "warrior princess" Smile Peace be with all of you! XO Heart

I saw Hallie's story (twice!) on Oprah and was incredibly touched. Hallie's wisdom and commitment to social justice is so inspiring, as is her family's commitment to her legacy of love and kindness. You are all wonderful gifts in this world, and I thank you for that. Your family and foundation has touched my heart with a powerful story, and I'm inspired to live every day working to fulfill Hallie's mission of peace and love. Thank you, and bless you all!

I'm turning 50 in July and I am truly inspired by what I read from Hallie's poems. I have six grandchildren and from this day forward I will encourage and inspire them to give what they can to make this a better world. A helping hand, a kind word, a friendly smile, and never take from mother nature that is meant for all to share. No matter how large the world is we have a responsibilty to take care of it and all of it's inhabitants. My grandson Josh is four and his favorite song is "It's a small world after all." "There's so much that we share that's it's time to be ware it's a small world after all." Hallie could have inspired those words. Glad to have had the opportunity of knowing her through this website and through the Oprah show.

I think the Love, Hallie Foundation is a wonderful organization for people of all ages to help others in need. When I saw the episode on Oprah the other day I was so inspired by Hallie and the whole Geier family. Just to see the look on those children's faces was amazing. Just knowing that Hallie, at such a young age, helped so many children made me really want to help others too. I am only 16 but after that episode I feel like I have already wasted so much time and money on useful things when I could've been helping others that are less fortunate. Hallie is such an inspiration. I wish only the best for the Geier family.

Why can't more children today be more like Hallie? Why must children like her leave this world when they are just what we need for the good of humanity? The proof of Hallie's amazing, giving young heart is that even from her angel post in Heaven, she is still giving. I picture her up there making the rounds of all the angels with a bowl in her hands collecting hearts & flowers to sprinkle down over those deserving African girls.
Go, Hallie! Big grin

The Geier family was truely blessed to have such a beautiful daughter grace their lives. I saw the show on Oprah today and cried throughout. When I saw what Hallie did with her lunch money, it literally broke my heart. It is sad for such a beautiful person to be gone, but to know now she is looking down on you and those children in Africa and she has to have the biggest smile possible. Look what she has started, I truely hope that Hallie's kind of love will continue to grow and blossom. I'm only 16, and one day I hope to be in Africa helping children, so far I have just raised money, but I'm thankful that you and you Hallie started this foundation, so now I know I can help and continue to shared the love and encouragement. This story is in my heart forever. God Bless

At first I thought, "I wish I could have had an opportunity to get to know Hallie." And then I realized this was a silly thought. We can all get to know her by being a part of her dream. In her 11 years of life, she has accomplished more than most of us who have a full, long life. Yes, her death represents a terrible loss to humanity. She clearly was very unusual little girl who brightened all the corners of the world she was in. I do wish she had been given the opportunity to live a full life? what other great things would she have accomplished?! So let?s give her the opportunity to do all those things by supporting the Love Hallie Foundation. I cannot think of a more appropriate tribute to such a beautiful spirit. And in so doing we recognize her life was more "full" than most.

This is a very moving and tearful website. It has wanted me to get more involved in my kids school to try to get them to help raise money for these children that have nothing. Watching Oprah today made me realize that other parts of the world children are worse off than the children here in the USA. Here we can protect our kids from this violence but over there in Africa those children can not help what is going on with them. My heart goes out to any child that has to live with any crime against them like that horrible that goes on in Africa. Sad

Wow, Oprah talked about how she wished we could all be in that room and feel the emotions from those precious children. I assure you that we did not need to be there to feel the love and beauty that your daughter Hallie is. Her essence is in my soul now and the love she left in this world will be felt for many years to come. Thank you for finding a way to share her with the world, she is a beautiful angel that is looking down now, with a happy tear and smile. God Bless all of your family. Smile

To the Geier Family,
I watched your story today on the Oprah show and I want to let you know how very much it touched my heart that an 11 year old girl knew so much about the world and had the compassion that your daughters hold to help those in need. She is a true inspiration. As well as your daughter MJ for continuing in her sisters footsteps. It is amazing that you took all of those children into your home and supported them and gave them all the love that as Oprah said they deserve. I would like to link your foundation to my homepage on myspace and I was wondering if you knew a way that I would be able to do so. I think it is important for all to be aware of what one little girl did, how it affected so many, and if others would like to help.

I just watched your WONDERFUL family on Oprah and first I'd like to say how sorry I am about the loss of your amazing daughter. How can one little girl do so much and touch so many people and then have her life taken away so quick?! Also, what your family and Oprah did in South Africa is just wonderful you guys gave so many children a new lease on life and so much more than they've ever had or ever will have. I wish all of you the best in life and God Bless you all.

I met Ted Geier?s parents and siblings back in the 70?s on Roosevelt Island NY where we were neighbors. I was a friend of Ted?s brother for many years. On occasion Ted would join us for ?our version? of Basketball. As life went on we all took different paths. Career, marriage, children and moving have a way of creating these new paths. With that said, it had been quite some time since I?ve spoken to any members of the Geier family.

Yesterday as I was surfing the internet, I had come across Hallie?s story. Needless to say I was deeply saddened and driven to tears. Being a parent myself I couldn?t imagine a greater horror than losing one of my children. Seeing Hallie?s pictures on the website and reading about her benevolence made it clear that she was quite a remarkable young girl. Her thoughts and ambitions were so profound for someone so young.

They say that good things often come out of bad things. I was very happy to see that Ted and Sofia created the Love, Hallie Foundation. It helps keep Hallie?s spirit and dreams alive and reminds each and every one of us that we should try to do our part to help and to be kind to others. We can use a little Hallie in all of us.

Ted and Sofia, may god bless you and your family. My thoughts and prayers will always be with you.

Remember, we?re all connected.
